BitchBoys:   Behind the Hound Dog Walls  (Self Released)   

The Bitch Boys are a Slovenian surf combo that really impressed me and many other surf aficionados with their debut release. While working on their second release, they decided to pop into a local club and record a set of cover tunes that they often play live. The first thing that blew me away was how well this sounds for a live recording – many bands would kill to have their studio recordings sound this good! The performances and arrangements are top-notch and there is plenty of reverb throughout. It’s a pretty even mix of overdone standards and obscure instro cuts that they cover here.
